How it Works.

API, CSV and raw data to analyze the movements of your visitors.

Sentinel Video Tracker uses video cameras deployed at a site to track the movements of individuals in the monitored area.

The video feed from the cameras is converted to a digital video stream and uploaded to a server, where it is analyzed in real-time.

The server uses advanced algorithms to detect individuals in the video stream and estimate their locations in the site over time.

To enable the system to provide accurate location data, you need to define the levels of your venue, upload floor plans for every level, and mark each camera’s placement on the corresponding floor plan.

Once you’ve done this, you can train the system to geo-locate the area covered by each camera by visualizing each camera’s coverage and marking reference points on the floor plan. This process ensures that the system can accurately estimate an individual’s location in the monitored area.

Applications can query the server to obtain an individual’s location in real-time and over time, enabling you to track their movements across the site. Video Tracker also enables you to perform people counting in real-time and over time, giving you valuable insights into customer behavior and venue occupancy.

Getting Started and Video Infrastructure

To get started with Sentinel Video Tracker, you'll need to ensure that your video infrastructure meets the system's requirements. Here's a step-by-step guide to getting started with Video Tracker.

To enable Video Tracker to provide accurate location data, you need to ensure that your cameras are placed correctly to cover the areas you want to monitor. This may involve adjusting camera angles or adding additional cameras to ensure full coverage. Our team will help you plan the deployment.

You’ll need to digitize the video feed from your cameras to enable the system to analyze it. This may involve connecting your cameras to a video encoder or network video recorder (NVR) that can convert the analog signal to a digital video stream.

Video Tracker requires adequate lighting to enable the cameras to capture clear images of individuals moving through the monitored areas. If your lighting is insufficient, you may need to add additional lighting to ensure clear images.

Video Tracker requires color cameras of medium to high resolution to enable accurate tracking of individuals’ movements. The higher the resolution of your cameras, the more accurate the location data provided by the system.

To enable Video Tracker to provide accurate location data, you’ll need to train the system to geo-locate the area covered by each camera. This involves visualizing each camera’s coverage and marking reference points on the floor plan to ensure accurate location data.

By following these steps and ensuring that your video infrastructure meets the system's requirements, you can get started with Sentinel Video Tracker and begin using it to track individuals' movements and optimize your layouts, improve customer experiences, and enhance security measures.

License and Pricing

Sentinel Video Tracker offers two licensing options:
A subscription to a public cloud-based service or a standalone installation.

Subscription to a public cloud-based service

With this option, you can subscribe to our cloud-based service and access Video Tracker through a web-based dashboard. This option is ideal for businesses that want a hassle-free solution without mantaining an on-premise server.

Pricing for this option is based on the number of cameras used and on the features requested. We offer several pricing tiers based on the number of cameras used, with discounts available for annual subscriptions.

Due to the complexity of the technology and to the amount of R&D required for each project, we have a minimum engagement level of $10,000 in fees, for this technology.

Standalone installation

With this option, you can install Video Tracker on your own server (on-premise or cloud) and manage it. This option is ideal for businesses that want complete control over their video tracking system.

Pricing for this option is also based on the number of cameras used.

This type of installation requires intensive development efforts and R&D to customize the server and software: For this reason,we set a minimum engagement level of $25,000 in fees for this option.

Both licensing options include access to Accuware’s support team, software updates, and maintenance.

The choice of which option to choose will depend on your business’s needs and resources.
